The Vinitaly International Academy (VIA) is set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its flagship Italian Wine Ambassador course in Verona from March 27-31, 2025. This milestone edition will feature, for the first time, the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella as a supporter, enriching the program with an exclusive masterclass dedicated to the esteemed wines of the Valpolicella region.
VERONA, Italy, March 20, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Over 60 students from around the globe will convene in Verona to engage in a comprehensive curriculum led by VIA Faculty Sarah Heller MW and Professor Attilio Scienza. The program includes eleven masterclasses conducted by representatives of various Italian consortia. Notably, the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella will present a masterclass entitled "2015 Valpolicella: A Deep Dive into the DOC's Finest," to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the course. This session will delve into the nuances of the 2015 vintage, offering participants unique insights into the region's rich winemaking heritage.
Established in 1925, the Consorzio per la Tutela dei Vini Valpolicella is an association comprising grape growers, winemakers, and bottlers from 19 municipalities in the Verona province. The consortium is dedicated to protecting and promoting the Valpolicella wine denominations, including the renowned Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG, as well as Valpolicella Superiore and Valpolicella Ripasso.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the diversity and richness of the Valpolicella region, gaining a comprehensive understanding of its diverse wine denominations.
